What I Like About This Book

Too Small to Fail is a great book, conveying some morals and messages (money can't solve every problem) within the humor and adventure of the story. Morris Gleitzman has, as usual, hit the spot with this book.

What I Like About This Book

This book is fast-paced, exciting to read and keeps you turning the pages and teaches you about Greek mythology at the same time. This is an extremely good book!

What I Like About This Book

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a entertaining book with many twists and turns in the plot. The scale and detail of J K Rowling's wizard world is astonishing; from the families of characters, to the names of pubs, it seems like this hidden kingdom could be real!
First Book Review - Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

As it's my first book review I'll start with one of my favourites - Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. I think it is a really good book and I will recommend it to anyone aged between 8 and 15.

Percy is a normal kid, going to a normal school, living a normal life. He lives in a New York apartment with his mum and his nasty, smelly stepfather, Gabe. But all that changes when his maths teacher turns into a monster and he finds out that his real father is the Greek god of the sea...

What I Like About This Book

The idea of Greek gods existing in the current world and making it seem believable is no mean feat, but one that Rick Riordan pulls off with ease in this book. As with the Harry Potter books, every detail is there, making you wonder what is actually a Greek myth and what isn't!

What I Like About This Book

Suspense, excitement, twists and turns... this book has it all! All of the characters' personalities are captured fantastically well in Maximum Ride - the Angel Experiment, and the ruthlessness of the scientists and the man/wolf hybrid erasers also comes through. Once you pick the book up, you'll never want to put it down!
